The classical ART college was founded by visual artist Tom S. Hageman www.tom-s-hageman.nl and works closely with the foundations Classical Art Center www.classicalartcentre.com (artist database, coordination of international exchanges) International League of Fine Art Schools, ILFAS www.ilfas.org (exchange of training and know-how) and Classical Salon www.klassieke-salon.nl (organisation of exhibitions and conferences).
From 1976-’92 Tom S. Hageman was a instuctor in figure drawing and anatomy and also coordinator of several autonomous art training courses at the Minerva Academy in Groningen; in 1993 he was a visiting professor at the Vitvarnich Umeni Academy in Prague, Czech Republic; in 2005 he was founder and until 2018 director of the Classical Academy in Groningen, also teaching anatomy, perspective and composition In 2018 he was appointed visiting professor at the Xi’an University of Achitecture and Technology/College of Art, in Xi’an, China.
He also works as a visual artist and has been active in dozens of public positions in the field of art.
For that he has been decorated as a ‘Knight in the Order of Oranje Nassau’
